Firefox is an alternative web browser that works on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and other operating systems. There are varying reasons as to why you would want to install another web browser, ranging from security to customization. Even if you are not intending to switch to it as your primary browser, there are some circumstances where having a different browser can be useful, such as if your main browser has been infected with spyware.
